What are other crafts?
There are many crafts all over Japan made with various materials such as washi paper, stone, wood, and leather. Traditional techniques and methods that have been passed down through generations are used to make them. Multi-colored Edo woodblock prints are unique to Japan and had a significant impact on European artists. Banshu fishing flies are made with several types of bird feathers and a hook, adorned with gold leaf and lacquer. Etchu Fukuoka Sedge hats are weave hats used for protection from the sun and rain during farming as well as for traditional events. Artisans have been producing attractive crafts including those mentioned above until now.
