Mashiko ware 1981-

At least one material of Mashiko origin is used in every piece. Decorations are applied using the scraped-off, brushwork, and Zogan (inlaying) techniques. The decorative patterns are drawn freehand, without drafts. The scraped-off areas and the changes in the glaze caused by the different iron content of the decorative mud are characteristic of these works.
